allume quality light sources

Years ago, when you made the choice to purchase more planet-friendly products, often it was necessary to sacrifice beautiful design. Thankfully, this is no longer a problem. Allume is committed to producing more retrofit light globes that save energy, and removing inefficient light sources when energy efficient alternatives are available.

Established in 2002, allume offers a range of bulbs (light bulbs, globes, lamps & tubes), specialising in cost effective light sources. The allume range grew from traditional incandescent & halogen light sources, through to T5 fluorescent lamps and compact fluorescent energy-saving lamps to now LED energy saving globes.

The continued development and product improvement in LED (Light Emitting Diode) technology means that improved quality of light and greater efficacy is being achieved.

allume bulbs are distributed in Australia by Oriel Lighting (Australia) Pty Ltd, and are available from all quality lighting retailers and electrical wholesalers.

In New Zealand  – the allume range offered differs from the Australian range, and is distributed in New Zealand by LIGHTING PLUS.

Light bulbs, often called ‘light globes’ or ‘lamps’ are the removable and replaceable part of a light fixture, which converts electrical energy into electromagnetic radiation and ultimately, light.

An incandescent light bulb is typically inefficient with only about 5% of the energy used being converted to visible light. LED technology has turned this inefficiency on its head delivering high light output for low energy input.
